Christina and I were married in June of 2001. I was a junior in college and she had just graduated from Cedarville College earlier that month. Christina began teaching in Vandalia Butler school system in the fall of 2001 while I finished my degree at Cedarville University. Christina has been my wife for almost eight years now but she has been my love since I was 13 years old.

I was a military brat who moved a lot and toward the end of my Father’s military career we were stationed at Wright Patterson AFB in Fairborn, Ohio were we lived for 2.5 years. Christina and I first met at Faircreek Church where my parents had decided to worship and enjoy community and where her parents have spent the last 25 years serving faithfully. Christina and I were “boyfriend and girlfriend” during my 8th grade, her 9th grade year of school for about one month during which time she came over to my house for lunch after church and she invited me to come over after church and watch Winter Olympics! Oh what fun! I was in LOVE!!! Well my family moved again (and if you ask Christina, she was glad to see me go) and we lost touch really for about 4 years until one summer day in 1998 I received a letter from Christina Davis in the mail! My dreams were coming true!

I called her on the phone once I received the letter and we talked and we decided that we should see each other (I wanted to see some buddies of mine at the Church – but really I only wanted to see her) and so a weekend in September was chosen… I was so excited! Our weekend was great! I asked if I could keep calling her and she said yes. So our relationship blossomed into a year-and-a-half of dating and a year-and-a-half of engagement.

I believe the thing that has always drawn me to Christina is her passion for Jesus and living His way for His glory. She loves the truth. She is a truth teller and a truth seeker. This is one of the reasons why she is such a wonderful woman and Christ-follower. We have always seen how God uses us in each others lives as compliments. Even when we were dating we could see how we could encourage each other and help each other. This continues to this day.

Christina and I love serving Jesus together. There is not a doubt that we are meant to be together. I am looking forward to getting wrinkles together from all the laughter! She is a wonderful friend, companion and Jesus worshiper who in many ways I envy.

Christina is no longer teaching in Vandalia, rather she is using her organization skills at a company in Columbus, Ohio by managing the office and keeping the partners in line! She loves what she does (I can tell because she is driving 2 hours a day to go to work. You don’t choose to spend that kind of time in the car if you hate what you are doing!) and everyone sees it!

I am so glad that God has provided the both of us with a marriage that honors him and one another. Home for us is a haven. Where we can take off our super suits and be comfortable, open, and safe! I wouldn’t have it any other way!
