“My mission is to live the great commission by reaching those who don’t know Jesus Christ personally and building them to be loving followers of Him.”

Ministry Philosophy

My philosophy of ministry is very simple: I will use everything I can to reach the lost and build the believer.

I try to make ministry simple so that others can understand what I am doing. I approach ministry by doing things with a purpose and a plan. I recruit and empower lay leaders so the ministry I am a part of can be versatile. I believe we are to be sharing our faith with the people who are down the street and around the world. I try to do that in my own life and I work to motivate others to do the same. I believe people grow in their faith in God the most when they are active in sharing what God has done in their lives.

I try to use the gifts God has given me to be very relational in my approach to ministry. Although, I know that quality events and gatherings, which are exciting experiences, speak volumes to today’s culture, the relationships, which are built, are one of the keys to being effective. I believe in a team approach to ministry, even in relationship to my wife and our partnership in ministry. I desire to be a part of a team where I can be myself and allow the Lord to unleash His will through my life. I desire to be a part of ministry teams that are God-centered, people focused, real, creative and make an impact.

Profession of Faith

I was five when I accepted Christ as my Savior.  I remember praying with my mother and asking the Lord Jesus to save me from my sins, so I could live forever in heaven with Him. Now, I know that I am a sinner according to Romans 3:23 and I know that my only way to God is through the Lord Jesus Christ according to John 14:6.  I also know that I am justified by faith because of what the Bible teaches in Romans 5:1-6.  According to Ephesians 2:8-9, I understand I have been saved by grace and that I never could save myself.

Over the years I have demonstrated my commitment through baptism and grown in my relationship with the Lord through the love and support of my high school youth pastor, the teaching of Cedarville University and my wife, Christina.  Also, I have seen the evidence of the Holy Spirit in my life because of the passion He has given me for ministering to others.

My junior year of high school I understood God’s call on my life to vocational ministry.  Over the past twelve years I have desired ministry opportunities (I Timothy 3:1).  After being in several support roles, full-time as a children’s pastor and full-time as a youth pastor, I believe my place in a church body is in a leadership role.  God has given me such a strong desire to see people saved and grow in their knowledge of Him, but more than that I feel that with my gifting in evangelism I must preach or help preach the gospel in an exciting and relevant way to those who don’t know Christ.  I love the Lord Jesus and I love His church.  There is nothing that I would rather do besides full-time vocational ministry.
